Austin Nature & Science Center

There is so much going on the at the Nature & Science center it's hard to pick which activities to go to, and which ones we'll have to miss.  A View from Space is their featured program that runs through January 8, 2011.  We are so looking forward to October 30th at the Nature & Science Center.  They're showing how they learn about wildlife with satellites.  The main focus is how they track Bats and Owls and their migration.

We think this is cool because we've just observed the bats take off 3 times and the boys have tons of questions I don't have the answers to.  Yeah for ANSC!!!

Check out their website and find the things going on you'd like to learn about and then plan your visit.

Best of all it's free!

LEGO Bricktober 500!

The boys and I went to another free LEGO building event at Toys R Us today.  They built and raced their own race car, and received a free Driver's licence.  It was a simple, fast and fun.  Who doesn't love free LEGO's?

Become a fan of Toys R Us on Facebook or Sign up for their newsletter and emails they send out, and don't miss the next free LEGO building event.

So FUN and FREE!!

How great are our Austin area libraries?

There is SO much going on at our local libraries it's amazing.  No matter the age, there is something for you.  My youngest son and I just started visiting our local branch for story and puppet time.  The ladies at our library are such great story tellers and enjoy the kids, and in turn the kids love that time.  So fun!
